About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Carrera Steel is specified for contract use and carries an impressive 80,000 Martindale rating, making it suitable for busy schemes. The surface reads as a muted steel grey with taupe and graphite undertones, broken up by fine flecks that give the cloth a gently mottled appearance. Its plain design is detailed enough to feel textural, but restrained enough to sit quietly across larger upholstery pieces. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, with other treatments available on request, and can be professionally cleaned in situ or washed at 40℃ according to the pattern book instructions.

How to use it

Use Carrera Steel on banquettes, dining chairs or ottomans where a calm, low-sheen grey is needed without looking cold. It pairs well with pale oak, black metal and chalky neutrals, and the cool undertone sharpens both contemporary and classic interiors.

A versatile contract plain with a cool, stonewashed steel tone that works well on tailored seating.
