Osamu Indigo

Momentum Velvets Edit VelvetHAF0061-07

Osamu Indigo brings a cool, deep blue-grey tone to a densely textured velvet surface. The swatch shows irregular indigo striations crossing a subtly lighter ground, creating a softly graphic effect rather than a flat plain.

About this fabric

This Harlequin velvet weighs 650 gsm and has a 140 cm usable width, giving the cloth a substantial presence for upholstery. Fine vertical and horizontal markings form a compact, broken linear pattern, with the vertical repeat measuring 16.5 cm and the horizontal repeat 1.7 cm. In this colourway, near-black indigo lines sit within a slate-blue ground, so the surface reads shaded and atmospheric rather than bright or saturated. The 45 threads per cm construction is visible in the closely worked, tactile texture across the swatch.

How to use it

Pair Osamu Indigo with pale stone, chalky grey or warm timber to balance its cool blue depth. It is especially effective on tailored seating where the broken linear texture can be seen across the upholstery.

Use this deep indigo velvet to bring cool, graphic texture to tailored upholstery and contemporary rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
