Issoria Tabasco

Momentum Velvets Edit VelvetHAF0178-08

Issoria Tabasco combines a deep, warm Tabasco-red ground with a tightly ordered field of pale, star-like geometric marks. The velvet surface gives the colour a soft, subtly shifting depth as the nap catches the light.

About this fabric

This Harlequin velvet has a substantial 772gsm weight and 64 threads per centimetre, supporting its upholstery classification. Small pale motifs form a regular cross-and-star grid across the red-brown ground, with each repeat measuring 70cm vertically and 12cm horizontally. The warm red tone is richer and darker than a bright scarlet, while the lighter marks sharpen the pattern without overpowering the ground. With a 140cm usable width and a 30m standard length, it is practical for planning larger upholstery schemes.

How to use it

Pair this deep, warm red with dark timber, aged brass and muted neutrals for a grounded, tailored room. Use the small pale grid on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its graphic rhythm can remain visible across the upholstery.

Use this weighty red velvet to bring depth to tailored upholstery, with the pale star-like grid adding a crisp graphic accent.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Issoria Tabasco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
