About this fabric

Woven in 78% polyester and 22% cotton, this fabric has the practical hand of a mixed-fibre cloth and a 140cm width for straightforward making-up. The 9cm repeat gives the check enough presence to read clearly without feeling oversized, while the crossing lines add a restrained tartan character. In this colourway, the blue ground is dark and cool, lifted by pale grey grid lines and a stronger burgundy-red accent that gives the cloth a sharper, smarter edge. The overall surface looks matte and softly textured rather than glossy, which suits the grounded, durable mood of the design.

How to use it

Use it for a tailored armchair, bench seat or cushion where the deep blue base can anchor wood and leather. It would also sit well in a study or snug, especially alongside charcoal, oxblood and worn brass.

A crisp blue check that works well on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.
