About this fabric
Part of Ashley Wilde’s Comet Collection, Meteor Danube is a fabric made from 69% recycled polyester and 31% polyester, with a usable width of 140cm and a 14,000 rub test. The surface reads as a compact textured weave, with tiny vertical flecks that create a subtle, almost rain-washed effect across the cloth. Its blue-grey colouring sits firmly on the cool side, giving the shade a calm, smoky quality rather than a vivid marine note. At 329 grams per linear metre and 235 grams per square metre, it has enough body for light domestic upholstery while still remaining suitable for drapes.
How to use it
Use this slate blue as a steadying accent on occasional chairs, banquettes or tailored curtains, where the textured surface can add interest without overpowering the room. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deeper navy for a layered, contemporary scheme.
