Bronte Clay

Darwin Collection FabricBRONTE

Bronte Clay is a quietly textured plain in a warm clay-brown tone with a soft, natural-looking weave. Its muted depth gives the surface an easy, relaxed character rather than a sharp or glossy finish.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a subdued clay brown with a slightly earthy, beige-brown cast, and the fine cross-woven texture is visible across the surface. The fabric is 68% Recycled Polyester and 32% Polyester, with a width of 140cm and a substantial 320gsm / 448g per linear metre. It is specified for drapes only, which suits the fluid, lightly structured look shown here. With no horizontal pattern repeat and a plain style, Bronte Clay offers a calm, uninterrupted expanse of colour that feels warm without becoming heavy.

How to use it

Use Bronte Clay for tailored curtains, Roman blinds, or simple full-length drapes where the warm brown tone can soften pale walls and stone, oak, or linen furnishings. It works especially well in rooms that want a grounded neutral with a little more warmth than grey.

A softly grounded plain that brings warmth to simple curtains and layered neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
