Katsura blue

Katsura Fabrickatsura/fa1/cob

Katsura Blue shows a painterly botanical trail of elongated blue leaves and soft peach circles across a pale ground. The palette feels fresh and gently washed, with the motifs sitting clearly on the textured cotton-linen cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, with a usable width of 138cm and a weight of 230gsm. The design reads as a loose, leaf-filled botanical in layered blue-grey strokes, broken by small peach accents that add warmth against the cool ground. Its 13.8cm horizontal repeat and 15.2cm vertical repeat create a rhythmic all-over pattern that will show beautifully across larger drops. Dry clean only and cool iron care help preserve the surface and the gentle printed character of the cloth.

How to use it

Use Katsura Blue in relaxed curtains or Roman blinds where its soft blue tones can catch daylight without feeling sharp. It works especially well with chalky whites, natural oak and muted terracotta accents.

Pair with pale woods and warm neutrals to keep the palette airy and calm.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
