Katsura Purple has a gentle, painterly look, with mauve berries and misty leaf forms settling over a warm ivory ground. The overall effect is light, airy and quietly decorative rather than bold.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a dry, natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The printed botanical motif feels softened by the pale background, while the purple notes read as dusty lilac rather than a strong violet. Grey-green and sage leaves add to the subdued palette, giving the design a calm, layered depth. At 230gsm with a 138cm usable width, it sits comfortably in the mid-weight range for versatile interior use. Dry clean only and cool iron as needed.

How to use it

Use this colourway in rooms that benefit from a softer floral-botanical statement, especially against painted timber, plaster tones or pale greys. It pairs neatly with muted greens and chalky neutrals for a restful scheme.

A softly painted botanical that works well where you want colour without heaviness.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
