Pimelea purple

Hibbertiameadows Fabricpimelea/fa1/boc

Pimelea Purple brings a loose watercolor meadow to life on an ivory ground, with airy stems and scattered blooms in lilac, mauve, sage and blush. The overall effect is delicate but expressive, with a soft botanical spread that feels hand-painted rather than formal.

About this fabric

This fabric is composed of 95% cotton and 5% linen, giving the design a natural cloth handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The 230gsm weight reads as a mid-weight drapery fabric, while the 138cm usable width gives good practical coverage for larger window treatments. In this Pimelea Purple colourway, the floral print is especially light and washed-out, with cool lilac petals, muted grey-violet shadows and occasional blush accents lifting the white ground. The large 68cm horizontal and 62.2cm vertical repeats support the painterly scale of the motif, so the scattered stems and meadow flowers feel open and unfussy across the width. Dry clean only and cool iron care keep the cloth looking neat without disturbing the soft printed surface.

How to use it

Use Pimelea Purple for relaxed curtains or Roman blinds where the lilac and mauve notes can soften daylight. It pairs well with pale plaster, weathered oak and gentle sage accents for a fresh country-led scheme.

Pair with pale woods and chalky neutrals to keep the watercolor florals light and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
