Ichiyoblossom cream

Katsura Fabricichiyob/fa1/gra

Ichiyoblossom Cream has a quiet, washed cream-beige ground scattered with airy blossom stems and soft circular flowers in pastel shades. The overall effect is delicate and slightly playful, with a gentle, botanical rhythm.

About this fabric

This fabric is made from 95% cotton and 5% linen, giving it the dry, natural handle you can see in the lightly textured surface. At 230gsm and 138cm usable width, it sits comfortably in the mid-weight range and is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The cream base reads more mushroom-beige than bright white, which softens the pastel pinks, greens and buttery yellows in the motif. A 69cm by 69cm pattern repeat gives the design a measured, repeating tree-and-blossom layout without feeling busy. Dry clean only and cool iron care make it best for considered interior use rather than hard-wearing seating.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without strong contrast: it sits naturally with pale oak, putty paintwork and linen upholstery. The muted cream ground keeps the pastel blossoms calm, so it works especially well in relaxed bedrooms, nurseries or light-filled sitting rooms.

Pair its muted blossom tones with warm woods and chalky neutrals for a gentle, contemporary look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ichiyoblossom cream without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
