About this colour

This shade reads as a cool blue with a clear grey base, so it softens strong colour without turning flat. In north-facing light it can feel more subdued and slightly steelier, while in south-facing rooms the blue comes forward and the grey keeps it from looking sugary or too fresh. On walls it lifts light gently rather than bouncing it back, which gives rooms a composed, restful feel. It sits well beside pale oak, dark walnut, chalky whites and upholstery in deep navy, sage, oatmeal or muted terracotta. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion or True Matt, it works equally well for walls or woodwork where a quiet, tailored finish is wanted.
