This shade sits between blue and grey, with #7E9195 giving it a cool, slate-like character that still keeps enough colour to register as blue. In north-facing rooms it can read quieter and more shaded, with the grey element coming forward and the blue deepening. In south-facing light it softens and opens out, showing a little more freshness without turning vivid. On interior walls and ceilings in Signature Emulsion Paint, it gives a composed backdrop that works well beside pale oak, painted joinery, and upholstery in oatmeal, charcoal, or faded indigo.
