About this colour

This shade sits in the cooler end of blue, softened by a good amount of grey so it does not look sugary or sharp. On a wall, #ACBFCD lifts the room without feeling stark, giving a light, breathable surface in Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell. In north-facing light it can turn more muted and silvery, with the grey coming forward; in south-facing rooms it stays clearer and a little brighter, while still keeping its calm tone. It works well beside crisp white woodwork, pale oak, painted joinery and upholstered pieces in linen, ticking stripe or small-scale floral patterns with a faded character.

How to use it

Use it in bedrooms, sitting rooms or a hallway where you want a restful blue that does not overpower the space. It suits white-painted trim, weathered wood and upholstery in soft neutrals, blue-greys or deeper navy accents.

A pale blue wall colour that stays calm and usable rather than icy.
