About this colour

At #CAD4D6, this shade reads as a cool, very light blue with a gentle grey cast, so it lifts a wall without feeling sugary or bright. In north-facing light it can look a touch more silvery and subdued, while in south-facing rooms the blue comes forward and feels fresher and cleaner. It sits neatly beside chalky whites, pale oak, brushed nickel and brushed chrome, and it gives darker woods a calm contrast. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it is a sensible choice for walls or woodwork where you want colour that stays light and composed.

How to use it

It suits bedrooms, quiet sitting rooms and dressing spaces, especially with white-painted joinery or muted timber. It also works well beside blue-grey upholstery, linen curtains and older wood furniture with a pale finish.

A pale blue-grey like this keeps a wall light and calm without turning cold.

Pairs well with

Dawn Blue Light is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
