Amanpuri Red

This shade sits in the middle of red and earth, with the hex value #7E4043 giving it a softened, wine-dark character rather than a clean crimson. On a wall it absorbs quite a lot of light, so it feels intimate and grounded, especially in the Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell finishes. In north-facing light it can turn cooler and a little more plum, which makes the brown undertone more noticeable. In south-facing rooms it warms up and looks richer, with the red bringing more depth beside pale oak, dark walnut, stone, or aged brass. It works well where you want colour on walls or woodwork to sit quietly behind patterned curtains, leather, velvet, or natural linens.
