About this colour

This shade reads as a muted rosy nude, with the #DCB6B5 value giving it a balanced warmth and enough pigment to hold its colour without becoming heavy. On a wall it lifts light softly, so it feels airy in the room, while still adding a clear blush note. In north-facing light it can turn a little cooler and quieter, showing more of its pink-grey side. In south-facing rooms it looks warmer and fuller, bringing out the gentle peach in the undertone. It sits well beside pale oak, painted joinery in off-white, and upholstery in taupe, linen, warm grey, or deeper berry tones.

How to use it

French Rose suits bedrooms, dressing rooms, and calm sitting rooms where a soft pink wall gives warmth without looking young. It works neatly with painted woodwork in cream or stone shades, and with upholstery in oatmeal, mushroom, or muted floral prints.

A soft blush pink like this brings warmth to a wall without overpowering the room.

Pairs well with

French Rose is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
