About this colour

In #E5DCCB, Oyster White Light reads as a light warm neutral rather than a true white, so it softens a room without looking creamy or grey. The Active Emulsion finish gives it a clean wall presence, while Waterbased Eggshell will show the same colour with a slightly more tailored look on woodwork. In north-facing light it can look a little cooler and more subdued, but it keeps its beige warmth and avoids turning chalky. In south-facing rooms it brightens nicely and becomes more sunlit, with the oyster tone sitting comfortably beside natural timber, limestone, linen, and upholstered pieces in stone, taupe, or muted green.

How to use it

Use it in sitting rooms, bedrooms, or hallways where you want a light backdrop that stays warm beside painted skirting, joinery, and shelving. It works well with oak, cane, mushroom-coloured upholstery, and curtains in softened neutrals or faded blue-greens.

A light warm neutral that gives walls a softer look than white.
