Beech Grey

2026 Paint PaintSAP1008-73

Beech Grey is a steady greige from Sanderson’s 2026 Paint range, with enough warmth to keep it from feeling flat. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it gives a calm, usable backdrop for rooms with natural materials and upholstered furniture.

About this colour

This shade sits between grey and beige, with a warm, muted note that softens the edges of a room. On a wall it reads as an easy, low-contrast neutral rather than a stark grey, and its #B3AA99 value means it holds enough colour to feel present without drawing attention away from the room. In north-facing light it can lean a little cooler and more stone-like, while in south-facing rooms the warmth comes forward and it feels richer and more enveloping. It sits neatly beside oak, walnut, painted joinery and linen-upholstered pieces, and it gives patterned curtains or deeper-toned upholstery a calm ground.

How to use it

Use Beech Grey in sitting rooms, bedrooms or hallways where you want a quiet wall colour that works with both painted woodwork and natural timber. It pairs especially well with warm neutrals, taupe upholstery and curtains in muted greens, blues or earthy reds.

A soft warm grey-beige that settles quietly on the wall.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Beech Grey is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
