About this colour

At #D8DAD7, Cosmic Grey reads as a pale grey with a faint greenish undertone, giving it a clean but softened edge. It reflects a fair amount of light, so it can help a room feel brighter rather than heavier, while still holding enough pigment to look deliberate on the wall. In north-facing light it will feel cooler and more muted, with the green-grey side becoming a little more apparent. In south-facing light it softens further and can appear warmer and gentler, making it useful where you want a calm backdrop beside natural oak, painted joinery, or deeper-toned upholstery. The Active Emulsion and Waterbased Eggshell finishes suit walls and woodwork where a restrained, contemporary grey is needed.

How to use it

Cosmic Grey works well in sitting rooms, studies, and bedrooms where you want the wall colour to sit back behind patterned curtains or tonal upholstery. It pairs neatly with pale timber, putty whites, and darker trim, especially on skirting, doors, or built-in joinery.

A soft pale grey like this gives a room quiet light without feeling blank.

Pairs well with

Cosmic Grey is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
