About this colour

This shade reads as a soft beige with a creamy, slightly muted base, lifting light without looking bright or chalky. In north-facing rooms it can feel a touch deeper and more enveloping, with the warmth kept in check by cooler daylight. In south-facing light it opens out and looks more airy, showing its pale, sunlit side without turning yellow. On walls or woodwork, it sits neatly beside natural oak, walnut, linen tones and deeper browns, and it also gives a calm backdrop to patterned curtains and upholstered pieces. The Active Emulsion and Waterbased Eggshell finishes suit that restrained, lived-in look on interior surfaces.

How to use it

Use Barely Beige in sitting rooms, bedrooms or hallways where you want a soft neutral that still feels warm. It works well with painted joinery, timber furniture, and upholstery in stone, taupe, olive or muted blue.

A pale beige that brings warmth to a wall without drawing too much attention.
