Boscombe Old Blue

Boscombe FabricJ0140-11

Boscombe Old Blue reads as a calm, softly weathered blue with a fine herringbone texture and a gently chalky finish. The tiny woven pattern gives the surface movement without interrupting its quiet, understated look.

About this fabric

This Boscombe colourway is woven in 53% Polyacrylic, 35% Polyester and 12% Polyacrylic (FR), with a useful width of approximately 136cm and a repeat of 0cm vertically and horizontally. The small-scale herringbone is visible across the cloth, but the overall effect stays subtle because the blue is softened with pale grey and biscuit notes. That muted blend gives the fabric a cool, relaxed character rather than a bright coastal feel, and the weave catches the light with a restrained, slightly textured sheen. With no performance features noted, it is best considered a versatile decorative fabric for everyday schemes that want colour without fuss.

How to use it

Use it on a slim occasional chair, bench seat or upholstered headboard where the soft blue can read as fresh but not vivid. It also suits curtains in a room with pale timber, stone or off-white paint, letting the herringbone add quiet detail.

A quiet blue herringbone works well for tailored upholstery or graceful curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
