Valeria red

Midsummer Meadows Fabricvaleria/fa1/sca

Valeria Red brings a bright, painterly floral to the foreground, with coral-red blooms set against an airy pale ground and threaded with fresh green foliage. The oversized motif feels lively and open, with brushy petal edges that give the design a hand-painted softness.

About this fabric

Printed on a 95% cotton, 5% linen ground, this fabric has the natural, lightly textured look you can see in the weave and the relaxed handle that suits soft furnishing use. The 140cm width makes it practical for curtains as well as lighter upholstery projects, and the 68.5cm horizontal and vertical repeat gives the large floral composition its bold, repeating rhythm. Valeria Red reads as a warm coral red rather than a deep crimson, so the blooms feel fresh and sunlit rather than heavy. Green leaves and buds lift the scheme and keep the print feeling garden-bright against the pale background. Care is dry clean only, with no bleach or fabric softener, and it should not be tumble dried; it is iron safe and not fire retardant.

How to use it

Use Valeria Red where you want a cheerful focal point: it works well on statement curtains, accent chairs or cushions against chalky neutrals. The coral tone looks especially good with natural oak, whitewashed timber and soft green accents.

Pair this lively coral-red floral with pale linens or painted wood for an uplifting, garden-inspired room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
