Quito Purple is a softly variegated weave with a calm mauve-violet ground and a lightly speckled, textured surface. The colour reads warm and dusted rather than bright, giving the fabric a settled, tactile presence.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% viscose and 15% linen, this fabric has a smooth but nubbly handle that suits its relaxed, textured appearance. The 142cm width and 142cm overall width make it practical for a range of soft-furnishing projects, while the no-fire-retardant note should be considered for specification. Spot clean only care and iron-safe handling add to its everyday usability. Visually, the purple is softened with pale lilac and greyed tones, so it feels more muted and tonal than saturated.

How to use it

Use Quito Purple on a compact armchair or bench to introduce colour without overwhelming the room. It also works well for curtains or blinds where the softly dusty purple will catch daylight with a gentle, chalky depth.

A muted purple weave that brings gentle colour and texture to tailored upholstery or refined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
