Spectrum Ebony settles into a deep charcoal-black tone, with a fine, understated surface texture visible across the swatch. Its near-black depth gives the colourway a quiet, tailored presence rather than a flat, stark appearance.

About this fabric

The close tonal variation in the weave softens this ebony shade, allowing faint surface movement to show as the light shifts across it. At 271gsm, it is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery. The fabric has a 137cm usable width and a 40m standard length. Its pattern is subtle at this scale, with supplied vertical and horizontal repeats of 36.5cm and 34.5cm respectively.

How to use it

Use Spectrum Ebony to bring depth to a cool, contemporary room, particularly on a tailored sofa, occasional chair or generous curtain. Pair its charcoal-black tone with pale stone, smoked oak or brushed metal to keep the scheme balanced rather than severe.

A deep charcoal-black ground with a restrained woven texture for tailored upholstery, cushions or full-length drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
