Majorelle Velvet Charcoal

Prince Of Persia VelvetCCF0443-01

Majorelle Velvet Charcoal places oversized palms, ferns and layered tropical foliage against a deep charcoal ground. Pale sage, ivory and blue-grey leaves bring a cool, painterly contrast to the near-black background.

About this fabric

This 421 gsm velvet has a richly grounded appearance, with the dark charcoal backdrop giving the botanical design considerable depth and drama. The foliage is picked out in frosted blue-grey, muted sage and ivory, so the large leaves retain definition without losing the colourway’s shadowy mood. With a 135 cm usable width, it is well suited to upholstery applications where the bold pattern can be shown across a generous surface. The design has a 63 cm vertical repeat and 67.5 cm horizontal repeat, while the standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Pair this cool charcoal colourway with chalky ivory, weathered timber and brushed metal for a refined, atmospheric scheme. On a feature chair or sofa, its pale foliage creates a striking focal point without introducing warm, saturated colour.

Use this richly patterned charcoal velvet on a statement chair, sofa or upholstered headboard, balanced with pale mineral accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
