Malevich Noir

Metropolitan Wallcoverings WallpaperCCW0147-04

Malevich Noir brings sweeping, irregular brush marks to an ivory ground. In this colourway, dense charcoal-black strokes sit beside dry olive-khaki striations, giving the design a cool, graphic depth.

About this fabric

The visible motif consists of broad, gestural arcs and broken brush marks, with fine linear texture within the darker strokes that keeps the pattern from reading as flat black. Olive-khaki passages soften the contrast against the warm ivory background, while the deepest charcoal areas add a strong, almost ink-like presence. This wallpaper has a usable width of 52 cm, a standard length of 10.05 m and a listed weight of 180 gsm. Its vertical pattern repeat is 64 cm, with a 0 cm horizontal repeat, allowing the sweeping marks to continue across the width without a side-to-side repeat.

How to use it

Use Malevich Noir on a feature wall where its black arcs can act as artwork, balancing the ivory ground with warm plaster tones, dark timber and small touches of olive green. Its cool charcoal depth also suits a pared-back room with brushed metal or stone details.

Use this bold black-and-olive design as a graphic feature wall with warm ivory, aged timber and restrained olive accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
