Spectrum Mandarin is a saturated burnt-orange textile with a softly textured woven surface. Its warm mandarin tone reads deep and earthy rather than bright or playful.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a largely plain face, with fine tonal movement and a gently rippled weave that keeps the orange from looking flat. At 271 gsm and 137 cm usable width, it has the substance of a versatile mid-weight cloth suited to both upholstery and drapery. The supplied pattern repeat is 36.5 cm vertically by 34.5 cm horizontally, although the repeat is not visually prominent in this solid-looking colourway. Mandarin orange brings a concentrated, autumnal warmth that becomes richer in the darker areas of the weave.

How to use it

Use this deep mandarin shade to bring warmth to an accent chair, bench or pair of curtains, particularly alongside walnut, dark wood, tan leather or chalky neutrals. Its restrained woven texture helps the strong orange feel considered rather than overly vivid.

A warm, richly coloured woven orange for adding confident depth to seating, blinds or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
