Spectrum Midnight is a deep, cool navy textile with an almost black intensity in the shadowed areas of the swatch. Its softly textured face gives the dark colour a little movement rather than a completely flat appearance.

About this fabric

The photographed surface reads as a saturated midnight blue, shifting subtly between ink-dark navy and slightly lighter blue where the light catches the texture. At 271gsm and 137cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The face appears finely textured and low-contrast, while the supplied design has a 36.5cm vertical repeat and a 34.5cm horizontal repeat. This combination gives the colourway a composed, tailored character without competing with the depth of the navy ground.

How to use it

Pair the cool midnight tone with pale stone, chalky grey or warm timber for contrast, or use it against black accents for a deliberately moody scheme. Its depth is particularly effective on a structured chair, banquette or generous curtain.

Use this cool, near-black navy to bring depth to tailored upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
