Moray Grape

Albany and Moray FabricCCF0293-13

Moray Grape is a deep, cool grape purple with a softly mottled woven surface. Fine tonal variation across the cloth gives this dark colourway depth, while the close texture catches the light subtly rather than appearing flat.

About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke textile has a substantial 509gsm weight and a 139cm usable width, making it well suited to upholstery. The surface is visibly woven, with a fine crosshatched construction and restrained vertical tonal shifts running through the rich plum-purple ground. Its supplied vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 0cm, so the texture can be placed without matching a motif. The dark grape tone feels refined and atmospheric, with a muted finish that becomes warmer where the weave reflects light.

How to use it

Use Moray Grape on a structured armchair, headboard or sofa where its dense purple tone can act as a dramatic anchor. Pair it with aged timber, smoked metal and warm neutrals to soften the colour without losing its depth.

A deep, textured grape purple for tailored upholstery with a quietly atmospheric finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
