Lazare Terre Cuite

Lazare FabricM4131-13

Lazare Terre Cuite is a richly warm terracotta silk with a softly mottled surface and a gentle, earthy glow. The colour reads as sunbaked clay rather than bright orange-red, giving it depth and warmth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% silk, this 138cm-wide fabric has a lightly textured, fluid handle that suits refined soft furnishings. The surface shows faint horizontal striations and tiny slubs, which catch the light and keep the terracotta tone from feeling flat. In Terre Cuite, the colour sits between burnt coral and clay red, with a muted warmth that feels more natural than vivid. The repeat is effectively non-directional at V 0cm / H 0cm approx, making it straightforward to use across curtains and decorative schemes. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair it with limewashed walls, aged brass and dark timber for a grounded, tailored room. It also works beautifully in a scheme with stone, oatmeal and deep olive where the warm terracotta can become the focal point.

Use it for elegant curtains or soft blinds where the silk’s warm clay tone can glow in daylight.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
