About this fabric

This Edgar Mer colourway from Manuel Canovas’ Montaigne collection has the look of a tightly woven neutral, with tiny slubs and a subtle horizontal grain visible across the surface. The palette sits in a soft dove-grey range rather than a stark white, giving it a gentle depth that feels airy but not flat. With a width of approximately 138cm and a composition of 51% viscose, 29% linen, 13% cotton, 5% acrylic and 2% polyester, it has the character of a refined decorative textile with natural texture. The repeat is noted as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, which supports the clean, understated appearance seen here. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for specification reference.

How to use it

Use it where you want a pale, tailored neutral that won’t compete with timber, stone or painted joinery. Its cool grey-beige cast suits relaxed contemporary schemes, especially on structured seating or softly filtered curtains.

A calm, woven neutral that works beautifully as tailored upholstery or quiet drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
