Edgar Celadon

Montaigne FabricM4198-03

Edgar Celadon has a softly muted, barely-there celadon cast that reads more grey than green in the cloth. Its fine woven surface gives the colour a calm, lightly textured finish.

About this fabric

This Edgar Celadon colourway from the Montaigne collection is woven with a discreet, even surface that shows a small-grid texture rather than a printed pattern. The shade is a cool, pale celadon grey with a gentle linen-like softness, so it feels refined without looking stark. The fabric is 138cm wide approximately and has a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm, making it a plain design suitable for a clean, tailored application. Its composition of 51% viscose, 29% linen, 13% cotton, 5% acrylic and 2% polyester helps create the subtle matte sheen and crisp handle visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use this pale celadon neutral on a neat sofa, upholstered headboard or relaxed curtains where you want colour that sits quietly in natural light. It pairs especially well with chalk white, weathered oak and other soft grey-greens.

A quietly elegant neutral that works beautifully across both seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
