Edgar Paon

Montaigne FabricM4198-04

Edgar Paon reads as a quiet, softly faded sage green with a gently dappled woven surface. The colour is light and airy, with just enough depth in the yarns to keep it from looking flat.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied in a 138cm approximate width and has a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, which suits the calm, non-directional look visible here. Its composition of 51% viscose, 29% linen, 13% cotton, 5% acrylic and 2% polyester gives the surface a refined natural texture with a slight crispness in the weave. The visible colourway is a pale sage-green grey, softened by the mix of fibres so it feels understated rather than vivid. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for interiors where the finish and tone are the main focus. The overall effect is neat, tailored and quietly elegant.

How to use it

Use Edgar Paon to soften contemporary upholstery, especially when paired with oak, chalk white and brushed brass. It also works well as a restrained drapery fabric where the pale sage tone can lift a room without dominating it.

A calm sage tone that sits neatly with pale woods, linen blinds and muted metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
