Thais Celadon

Marsan FabricM4129-02

Thais Celadon has a calm celadon ground scattered with softly painted blossoms and leafy stems in creamy ivory and warm taupe outlines. The overall effect is fresh and airy, with the floral motif reading clearly against the muted green base.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Marsan fabric has the natural surface and gentle movement associated with a breathable, relaxed cloth. The repeat is approximately V 92cm and H 134cm, and the 134cm width makes the design feel expansive as the flowering branches trail across the ground. In this colourway, the celadon base is muted rather than bright, so the ivory blooms stand out with a soft, chalky contrast instead of sharpness. It reads as an elegant decorative fabric with a light-touch, country-house feel rather than a saturated or overly formal floral.

How to use it

Use Thais Celadon on curtains, blind panels or occasional upholstery where you want the green to stay soft and luminous. It works especially well with pale woods, off-white paint and linen textures, letting the floral pattern bring in quiet detail without overwhelming the room.

Pair with pale oak, chalk white and aged brass for a fresh, elegant scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thais Celadon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
