About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric from the Marsan collection is composed of 36% jute, 34% viscose, 15% linen and 15% polyester, with an approximate width of 144cm and a repeat of V 1cm / H 72cm. In the swatch, the pale ground reads softly natural and slightly slubby, which makes the saturated stripes feel brighter and more graphic. The magenta bands have a deep berry-pink intensity, while the rust stripes add warmth and an earthy spice note that suits the Epices name. With its clearly defined vertical rhythm and substantial woven handle, it feels well balanced for either upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use it to add colour to a neutral room, where the ivory ground keeps the stripe pattern fresh rather than overpowering. It works especially well on occasional chairs, a pelmet, or full-height curtains in a space with natural timber or pale plaster.

The bold vertical stripes bring a lively, tailored accent to either upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
