Ondine Prairie

Ondine FabricM4152-01

Ondine Prairie pairs a lively ikat-style rhythm with a soft linen ground, giving the pattern a handmade, slightly brushed appearance. The colourway mixes rose pink, leaf green and ochre against a warm natural base.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric comes in an approximate 136cm width with a vertical repeat of 118cm and a horizontal repeat of 136cm, so the pattern makes a strong visual statement across larger spans. In this colourway, the painted-looking motifs read as rose pink, spring green, saffron and straw, all softened by the natural linen ground. The finish feels airy rather than heavy, but the bold repeat gives it enough presence for drapery and selected upholstery applications. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

The warm, multicoloured palette works well in rooms with rattan, oak or chalky painted wood, where the pinks and greens can feel collected rather than flashy. It is especially striking as full-length curtains or on a single accent chair where the vertical pattern can be seen in full.

Use for statement curtains or occasional upholstery where the lively colour mix can lead the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
