Octavie Prairie

Ondine FabricM4144-02

Octavie Prairie brings a painterly botanical scene to a soft moss-green linen ground. The large-scale flowers and twisting stems feel lively and hand-drawn, with pinks, blues and cream highlights lifting the background.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Manuel Canovas fabric has a natural, lightly textured handle that suits both drapery and upholstery use. The design is printed on an approx. 136cm width with a vertical repeat of 100cm in a half-drop layout, so the trailing stems and flowering sprays sit with a graceful, unfussy rhythm. In this Prairie colourway, the ground reads as a fresh olive-moss green rather than a yellow green, giving the pink, blush, blue and plum motifs a clear, buoyant contrast. The overall effect is botanical and decorative, but the linen base keeps it from feeling overly formal.

How to use it

This colourway works well on a statement armchair, a blind, or full curtains where the green ground can balance the brighter petals. Pair it with warm woods, aged brass and quiet neutrals to keep the palette grounded.

Use with pale timber, chalky paint and simple shapes so the lively botanicals stay elegant.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Octavie Prairie without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
