About this fabric

Persane Prairie is a fabric from the Ondine collection by Manuel Canovas, woven in 100% Organic Cotton with an approximate width of 140cm and a repeat of V 64cm / H 70cm. The design shows a large-scale interlocking lattice of ornate cream scrolls over a deep green ground, with narrow striped texture inside each panel. Small circular motifs with pale lilac and yellow centres soften the darker green, giving the colourway a fresh, garden-like character rather than a heavy one. The overall effect is smart and characterful, with enough presence for statement furnishing while still feeling textile and tactile.

How to use it

Use it to add pattern to upholstered accent chairs, a headboard or cushions, where the green ground can sit against oak, wicker or painted cream joinery. It would also make strong curtains in a room with natural light, letting the cream outlines and yellow accents read clearly.

A lively botanical-geometric for statement upholstery or elegant curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Persane Prairie without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
