About this fabric

Part of the Marsan collection by Manuel Canovas, this fabric is woven in a 60% cotton, 35% viscose and 5% polyester composition, with an approximate width of 128cm and a vertical repeat of 77cm and horizontal repeat of 64cm. The ground reads as a muted beige with a softly aged warmth, which lets the large-scale floral stems, blossoms and seed pods stand out in pink, magenta, red and pale celadon tones. The surface has a textile softness rather than a crisp sheen, so the pattern feels nuanced and slightly painterly rather than flat. With no performance features noted and a fire code of √BM, it is best read as a decorative furnishing fabric.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, blinds or a statement upholstered occasional chair where the warm beige background can calm the bolder pink and ruby accents. It works especially well with aged brass, pale timber and plain linen finishes.

Pair with simple tailoring and solid linens to let the jewel-toned embroidery-style motif stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
