About this fabric

This 556 gsm velvet has a substantial appearance, while the close, uniform pile gives the swatch a smooth, softly brushed texture. The Pearwood colourway sits between warm beige and restrained olive, creating a calm, natural-looking neutral rather than a bright cream. At 134 cm usable width, it is well suited to upholstery applications where the plain surface can be shown uninterrupted. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without matching a motif; the fabric is specified at 51.5 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use Pearwood on a generous armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its pale, softly greened beige can lighten darker timber and sit comfortably with stone, oat and muted olive tones. The plain velvet also makes a quiet, textural counterpoint to patterned cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
