About this fabric

This is a visually plain velvet, with no printed or woven motif and a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. At 556 gsm, it has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, while the close surface texture catches the light in subtly lighter and darker blue-grey areas. The usable width is 134 cm, and the standard length is 35 m. Its construction is recorded at 51.5 threads per cm, supporting the fabric’s dense, smooth appearance.

How to use it

Use Webb’s blue on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool slate tone can anchor softer greys, chalky neutrals and pale timber. The deep blue-grey nap also works well as a quiet contrast against warmer brass or walnut details.
