About this fabric

Thatch Tobacco from Larsen’s Carlo collection is a fabric with a generous approximate width of 289cm and a small repeat of around V 2cm / H 1cm, making the pattern feel tight and orderly across the surface. The composition of 69% Linen, 15% Acrylic, 13% Cotton and 3% Polyester gives it a linen-led, naturally slubby look with a little added structure. In this colourway, warm tobacco brown sits over a lighter flax base, creating a mottled, earthy contrast that softens the geometry and keeps it from reading too sharp. The overall effect is smart but approachable, with a dry woven texture that feels well suited to everyday interiors. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code Z are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Thatch Tobacco on a tailored armchair, banquette or full-length curtain where its warm brown notes can ground paler woods and plaster tones. It pairs especially well with cream, oatmeal and aged brass, letting the small pattern add interest without overpowering the room.

A warm, textural neutral that brings tailored character to seating or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thatch Tobacco without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
