Amazilia French Grey

Colour 1 Fabrics FabricHAF0427-05

Amazilia French Grey places delicate white blossom sprays and small, vividly coloured birds across a cool, pale grey ground. The restrained background lets the teal, coral, ochre and green bird details provide carefully judged flashes of colour.

About this fabric

The softly cool French grey ground gives this colourway a quiet, airy character, while the outlined blossom clusters add fine botanical detail across the surface. Hummingbirds appear between the branches in touches of teal, green, coral, ochre and brown, creating more depth than the subdued ground alone suggests. At 236gsm and 140cm usable width, the fabric has a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. Its pattern repeats every 67.6cm vertically and 69.6cm horizontally, with 74.1 threads per centimetre and a standard 60m length.

How to use it

Use Amazilia French Grey for relaxed curtains, occasional chairs or cushions where its cool grey base can lighten the room without losing pattern. Echo the birds’ muted teal and coral accents in piping, painted furniture or small accessories.

Pair the cool grey ground with pale upholstery, soft blue-green accents and natural timber for a light, composed scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Amazilia French Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
