Amazilia Sky

Colour 1 Fabrics FabricHAF0427-02

Amazilia Sky pairs a pale, cool aqua ground with airy sprays of white blossom and finely illustrated hummingbirds. The soft blue-green tone keeps the design fresh and light, while the birds add small points of colour across the repeat.

About this fabric

The floral branches are composed of pale petals and slender grey-brown stems, with hummingbirds picked out in muted coral, olive, teal and brown. At 236 gsm and 74.1 threads per cm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. Its 140 cm usable width makes it practical for curtains as well as smaller upholstery pieces. The pattern repeats every 67.6 cm vertically and 69.6 cm horizontally, creating a clearly spaced but lively arrangement of blossoms and birds.

How to use it

Use this colourway where a cool, pale aqua backdrop will soften a room without becoming sugary: it works especially well on relaxed curtains, a reading-chair seat or cushions against warm ivory and light timber. Pick up the tiny coral, olive or teal bird details in restrained accent fabrics.

Use the cool aqua ground to bring a light, collected feel to curtains, occasional chairs or a feature cushion.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
