Harlequin

Carnival Stripe Navy

Book of Little Treasures Fabrics FabricHAF0396-03

Carnival Stripe Navy combines deep, cool navy with narrow ivory lines in a clean vertical stripe. The closely spaced bands give the swatch a rhythmic, tailored appearance, while the lightly textured surface keeps the contrast from feeling stark.

About this fabric

This Harlequin fabric has a 321 gsm weight and 50 threads per cm, giving the visible cloth a substantial, closely woven feel suited to both upholstery and drapery. Deep navy stripes alternate with slim ivory bands, creating a cool, high-contrast colourway with more depth than a flat blue. The vertical lines remain consistent across the face, with a 3.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat and no vertical repeat. Its 137 cm usable width provides a practical format for furnishing applications.

How to use it

Use the navy-and-ivory stripe on a statement chair, bench or tailored curtain where its vertical rhythm can sharpen a room scheme. It works especially well with warm wood, chalky neutrals and small touches of brass that soften the cool navy.

Use the deep navy-and-ivory stripe to bring crisp vertical structure to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
