About this fabric

The 416 gsm velvet has a substantial, softly lustrous surface suited to upholstery, with the pile giving the dark ground noticeable depth as the light shifts across the swatch. Fine coral-like branches, feathery fronds, shells and rounded blooms are layered throughout in nectar pink, dusty peach, sage, turquoise and touches of cream. Its 59 cm vertical and 66.2 cm horizontal repeats create a generous, immersive pattern that reads as richly detailed rather than geometric. The usable width is 138 cm, with 57.7 threads per cm adding to the densely worked appearance.

How to use it

Bring out the warm nectar and rosewood tones with walnut timber, aged brass and plain oatmeal upholstery, or use the sage and blue-green accents to build a cooler, botanical scheme. Its lavish scale is especially effective on a statement armchair, footstool or headboard.

Use this richly patterned velvet on a statement chair, ottoman or occasional sofa against warm neutral walls.
