Gigi French Grey

Gigi French Grey pairs a cool, softly textured grey ground with repeated white, teardrop-shaped leaf motifs. The restrained contrast keeps the pattern crisp without making this colourway feel stark.

About this fabric

At 394 gsm and 26.8 threads per cm, Gigi French Grey has a substantial textile presence and a visibly fine, even surface texture. The cool French grey ground reads as a muted neutral, while the white outlined leaves bring definition and a gently graphic lift. The pattern repeats every 31 cm vertically and 26 cm horizontally, creating a regular rhythm of elongated, layered leaf forms. With a 130 cm usable width and a 40 m standard length, it is a practical choice for upholstery planning where the motif needs to be aligned consistently.

How to use it

Use this cool grey colourway on a tailored chair, headboard or compact sofa, pairing it with chalk textiles, charcoal piping or pale timber. Its white linework also works well against softly lit, minimal interiors where the leaf pattern can provide measured visual texture.

The cool grey and white leaf rhythm suits tailored upholstery with chalk, charcoal or pale timber accents.

Pairs well with

Gigi French Grey is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
