Toshiko Ink / Sky / Stone brings an airy botanical pattern to a warm cream ground, with loose leafy stems in washed sky blue, deeper ink blue and sandy stone. The hand-painted marks give the design a relaxed, lightly watercolour-like character.

About this fabric

The pattern combines feathery fronds with broad, softly outlined leaves, creating a medium-scale botanical repeat with plenty of open cream ground between the stems. Its blue palette moves from pale, cool sky tones to concentrated ink accents, while the stone brushstrokes add a muted, sandy warmth without overpowering the ground. Supplied at 300gsm with 19.5 threads per centimetre, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The usable width is 137cm, with a 68.6cm vertical repeat and a 137cm horizontal repeat to consider when cutting and matching.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring cool blue foliage into a cream or pale neutral room, pairing it with natural timber, chalky painted furniture and stone-toned plains. On a chair, roman blind or full curtain, the darker ink stems can provide definition while the sky leaves keep the overall effect light.

A cool, painterly botanical suited to relaxed upholstery, curtains and cushions where its cream ground can brighten the scheme.
