Himmeli Liquorice

Zanzibar Fabrics FabricSCF0083-03

Himmeli Liquorice is a cool charcoal-grey woven fabric with a tightly repeated, faceted pattern that creates a subtle three-dimensional effect. Its dark tone shifts gently across the surface as the woven texture catches the light.

About this fabric

The design is formed from interlocking, cube-like motifs in charcoal, graphite and softer grey, giving the surface measured depth without introducing bright contrast. At 284 gsm and 102 threads per cm, it has a dense, structured handle suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. The geometric repeat measures 15.3 cm vertically by 11.5 cm horizontally, creating a regular rhythm across the cloth. A usable width of 139 cm makes the fabric practical for coordinating seating, cushions and window treatments.

How to use it

Use this cool Liquorice colourway on a contemporary chair, ottoman or full-length curtain where its charcoal depth can anchor a room. Balance the geometric weave with chalky walls, pale oak or soft grey upholstery to keep the scheme from feeling too dark.

Pair the cool charcoal geometry with pale timber, warm neutrals or black accents for a crisp, architectural scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Himmeli Liquorice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
