About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Melrose Slate is specified for drapes only and has a substantial 350 gsm handle that suits a full, elegant hang. The design features a small-scale floral and botanical motif with a 10.5cm vertical repeat and 8cm horizontal repeat, creating a measured, rhythmic surface across the width. Its 140cm width makes it practical for wider curtain drops, while the cool grey colouring keeps the pattern quietly refined rather than high contrast. The slate tone and pale motif give the fabric a soft, misty finish that feels smart and composed in the room.

How to use it

Use Melrose Slate for lined curtains in a pale, contemporary scheme where the grey ground can bridge white walls, stone floors, and darker timber accents. It also works well in rooms that need pattern without brightness, thanks to its muted slate depth.

A cool slate ground gives this botanical design a tailored, elegant feel for curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
